According to this new update, your all private messages and calls with your friends, family, and colleagues on WhatsApp can’t be read by WhatsApp nor Facebook.
Whatsapp also said that they are not going to keep your logs and user communications with them.
While the traditionally mobile operators keep their user logs, WhatsApp said keeping 2 billion users’ logs and recording can be a risk to privacy and security. And they are not doing what WhatsApp said.
Regarding location sharing, WhatsApp pointed out on its newly created FAQ page that it cannot see users’ shared location, and neither can Facebook. The platform pointed out that when someone shares the location in their app, it is end-to-end encrypted, meaning no one can see them except the people they are shared with.
